The
Anti-Semitic Disease by Paul Johnson … Commentary June 2005
Johnson, a brilliant British historian, systematically reviews the
destructive, irrational group hatred of the Jews from ancient Greece
and the Spanish Inquisition to Czarist Russia, Nazi Germany, and pan-Arabism.
A somber, vital review of the dangerous thought patterns that have
murdered millions and destroyed cultures across the ages.
A great article that deserves to be read, reflected on, and passed
around.

Mideast Madness
There
are fewer situations more upsetting, confusing, and misunderstood
than the struggle for Israeli citizens to simply live in
peace. Here are a list of links that I have found illuminating
- even if they sometimes come from opposite ideological
perspectives.
I find the English version of the Palestinian Authority
website fascinating because it documents the PA's current
ideology which denies the Holocaust occurred or there was
a Jewish connection to Jerusalem. While reason and common
sense would suggest many possible compromises, Arafat -
against the Palestinian's clear self-interest continues
to pursue an "all or nothing" strategy. How many
more people will have to die before Arafat utters the word
"compromise" in Arabic?
Americans
for Peace Now - Why not give peace a second chance?
OK, how about an 18th chance? Doesn't peace and prosperity
still sound better than war and poverty?
Haaretz
Daily - Israel's leading newspaper with a leftist tilt.
Honest
Reporting

name says it all.
Israel Insider - A solid summary of articles
from Israeli publications.
Jerusalem
Post
- This paper remains Israel's largest English language newspaper.
MERMI
- A
think tank devoted to translating the Arab media and Palestinian
textbooks into English. The gap between what many Westerners
think Arabs believe and what many Arab governments say to
their people remains astonishingly large.
Palestinian
Authority - Look
for yourself at the PA's site. Do you think the goal is
to create two states, side by side, living in peace?
Stand
With Us - Check out this pro-Israeli power point
presentation on Middle East facts. Depressing, but rather
compelling, argument that Arafat never accepted the idea
of a two-state solution.
